Beni Rae Harmony Appointed as Assistant White House Press Secretary

The White House has announced the appointment of Beni Rae Harmony as an Assistant Press Secretary. The 24-year-old former journalist, who previously served as the Chief White House Correspondent for Real America's Voice, is expected to begin her new duties in the administration on Monday.

Harmony confirmed her transition into the administration through a post on the social media platform X. In her statement, she expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump for the opportunity and the trust placed in her. Reflecting on her previous career, she noted that her time covering the administration as a correspondent provided her with the experience necessary for this new role, emphasizing her commitment to representing the concerns of the American public.

Background and Professional Experience

Before joining the White House communications team, Harmony held a prominent role at Real America's Voice, which she joined in September 2025. Her career in media included a stint as a news anchor in Springfield, Illinois. During that time, she resigned from her position following a suspension related to an on-air tribute she delivered regarding Charlie Kirk. Harmony stated in a subsequent interview with Fox News that she chose to resign rather than comply with directives to remove the tribute, asserting that she refused to be silenced on the matter.
