The dispute follows the institution’s decision to revoke the admission of her eight-year-old daughter, Ella, allegedly due to Efird’s professional activities on the subscription-based platform OnlyFans.
According to Efird, the school’s administration informed her that her online content was inconsistent with the institution’s values. This decision came after she had already finalized the application process, paid the required fees, and conducted an initial visit to the campus. Efird stated that during her initial interactions with staff, no concerns regarding her social media presence were raised.
Dispute Over School Admission and Conduct
Efird recounted that she was summoned to a meeting with school administrators on a Friday morning, during which she was notified that her daughter’s acceptance had been withdrawn. While the school agreed to provide a full refund of the fees paid, Efird expressed significant frustration regarding the manner in which the situation was handled. She noted that her daughter was present at the school during the meeting, unaware that her enrollment was being terminated.
In a public statement shared on social media, Efird emphasized that her primary grievance lies in the impact of the school’s decision on her child. Efird launched her OnlyFans account in March and has been transparent about the financial benefits of the platform. She has previously stated that the income generated has provided her family with increased stability, allowing her more flexibility to attend her children’s school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities. She reported that the platform has become a significant source of revenue, noting that she has earned substantial daily amounts since joining.
The decision to pursue this career path has received support from other members of her family, including her mother, June Shannon, and her sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. However, June Shannon has previously expressed reservations regarding the platform, publicly stating that she does not believe all forms of income are beneficial.
